David Byrne and St. Vincent to Play Chateau Ste. Michelle
The gods have answered.
Yes, we will talk about summer concerts in February, thankyouverymuch. We haven't gotten official word from Chateau Ste. Michelle yet, but the A.V. Club is reporting that David Byrne and St. Vincent will go on tour this June—with a stopover slated for the Woodinville winery on July 18.
We're still talking about Byrne and St. Vincent's "practically perfect live show" at 5th Avenue Theatre last October, when the former Talking Head and wacky songbird (real name: Annie Clark) showcased music from their debut collaboration, Love This Giant. Byrne's iconic vocals (he sounds better than ever) and Clark's dreamy pop were punctuated by heavy brass—trumpets, sax, trombones—for a sort of new wave–funk lovechild. We danced all night.
Now transport that to the Chateau's outdoor amphitheatre, add a little wine and cheese, and we have a concert ticket worth arm-wrestling for. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 1, at 10am at ticketmaster.com.
