Kigo Kitchen
Amazonia is getting a new lunch spot opening November 12. The Asian-meets-Western menu features a build-it-yourself rice or noodle bowl, sort of like a Subway sandwich shop but nicer and, you know, not a sandwich shop.

Hollywood Tavern
Josh Henderson, of Skillet fame, heads East (Woodinville) to open his newest venture: a reimagining of a local tavern, with lots of whiskey. He has also reinvented the tavern food menu to include cheese fries with kimchi, pork ears served like buffalo wings, and homemade soft-serve ice cream. The opening is scheduled for November 12.

Juicy Cafe
The second location of this downtown juicebar/ health-focused cafe is opening on the second floor of the Columbia Center on November 12. The spot will serve breakfast and lunch; smoothies and juice cleanses are also available. 

Redline WS
West Seattle's new sports bar opened this week, according to West Seattle Blog. The menu is heavy on game-day foods like sliders, chicken wings, and, of course, beer. It's open from 11am-2am.


Panos Kleftiko Taverna
Owner Panos Marinos closed the doors for good this week. The truly authentic Greek restaurant regularly shutters during September while the owner travels back to Greece for the month, but this time it’s a permanent closure. As Seattle Met’s Kathryn Robinson noted, it’s been a tough couple of years for mom-and-pop Greek restaurants in Seattle.

Rusty Pelican
Wallingford’s Rusty Pelican closed a few weeks ago, Wallyhood reported, and fans of neighboring Murphy’s were worried the Irish pub may be next when the building was listed for sale. Property owner Costas Antonopoulos assuaged concerns, saying the retail businesses will stay; he’s even planning to open his own (non-Greek) restaurant in the former Pelican space. 


The amazing Hawaiian/fried chicken restaurant announced it will expand its weekend hours, according to Eater Seattle. Now open from 9:30am-3pm, diners can enjoy the bottomless mimosas for that much longer.


Nacho Borracho
Rachel Marshall and Kate Opatz, both owners of popular Cap Hill dive bar Montana, have plans for a late night nacho-focused bar on Broadway. A seven-layer dip and Frito pie are in the works, along with a new roster of tequila cocktails on tap. The opening is projected for January-ish.


Cronut ™ at Ba Bar
Ba Bar is planning to bring back its version of the cronut on November 16. The only hold-up: due to copyright issues, Ba Bar needs a new name for the ridiculous fried pastry.  Go to Ba Bar’s Facebook page with suggestions; the winner gets 100 of said pastry. 


Atrium Kitchen
Pike Place Market announced that it will open a kitchen on First and Pike. The space will be used for cooking demos by market vendors and chefs and will be available for private rentals. It opens November 21 with a cabaret event sponsored by Maximilien.
