Here Are Even More Spaces to Book a Holiday Party
A final installment of spaces both classy and casual.
This all-sustainable hyperlocal Belltown restaurant has a completely separate room devoted to private parties. It holds up to 65 people and you can arrange for specialty menu items or a la carte options. And did we mention the massive selection of local spirits?
We spend the rest of the year raving about the patio, so here's a reminder that the private backroom with its own entry is just as awesome. Inside you'll find a turntable with records, a variety of brightly colored chairs, and the same homey, eclectic vibe as the restaurant. Marjorie offers a customized menu for your event and the space seats up to 50.
The recent expansion at this divey-on-purpose Capitol Hill bar means you can book the back bar, which seats up to 20. And it gets better – tap cocktails and frozen drinks are all on hand and can be named after your friends (do nicknames count? That'd make for a fun night). Contact the bar for specifics.
The light-filled, market genesis of Matt Dillon and Marigold and Mint’s Katherine Anderson has white built-in shelves displaying wines and various knick-knacks (including cookbooks for sale), along with two long, wooden dining tables. Set the space up for sit-down or cocktail-style events. And you can bet the food and floral arrangements will be amazing.
No surprise, this swanky downtown steak house has a variety of holiday party options. In the restaurant, there are three total dining rooms that seat up to 50 in each. Customizable menus can handle everything from breakfast bar to three-course dinner. The Met also does a take-home chateaubriand dinner package just for the holidays with easy-to-follow instructions. This meal will get you menu items like pre-seasoned prime dry-aged chateaubriand and mashed potatoes. Or ask about a take-home prime rib in a roasting pan. For more information or to reserve a holiday dinner, call Allison Carter at 206-957-3216 before December 23.
The Coterie Room
Brian McCracken and Dana Tough recently converted this restaurant to an events-only space. Hence you can have the menu, the seriously talented bartenders, and the living wall all to yourself. For reservations, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 206-956-8000.
If you prefer your cocktail parties with a side of shopping, this boutique downtown that just added a Champagne lounge and rents out its space for private events. You can shop while you celebrate with merchandise on the floor, or have it stored in the back. Also in the mix: exposed brick, 13-foot ceilings, wireless speakers, wifi, and other accommodations (including a back hallway that can transform into a coat check). You can have a cocktail party or a few glasses of Champagne with up to 50 people.
