This is ambitious. The forthcoming Q Nightclub is already pinning down an opening date. The 12,000-square-foot party spot (not to be confused with this colossal party spot) aims to start whooping it up on September 8.
Design firm Bohlin Cywinski and Jackson (responsible for Seattle City Hall) is working with Dovetail General Contractors to rehab the former auto garage at 1426 Broadway. Press materials promise the sleek multilevel digs will cater to the happy hour crowd as well as those seeking a DJ-fueled night out, plus host live music made pretty with a custom sound system. The bar program will be big on bourbon, and yes, there are disco balls (see slideshow).
