Cicada Bridal Fashion Show
Gowns so good they had to be worn twice: Cicada celebrates 18 years of locally made wedding dresses with a fashion show and sale.
It's probably the one and only thing you'll ever buy to wear just once: Your wedding dress.
Well, not if Cicada has anything to say about it.
The downtown dress shop is celebrating 18 years of custom- and locally made wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses with a special fashion show and a big sale.
On Thursday, November 8 at 7, the runway at 1113 First Ave (two doors down from Cicada) will feature 20 Cicada brides from years past taking one more walk down the aisle. Owners and designers Jen Gay and Elizabeth Klob, married for 17 and 13 years respectively, are taking a turn, too.
After giving local brides their memory lane, the Cicada crew will show off the future: 20 new styles from their 2013 collection.
Interested in a dress of your own? Get there early.
Beginning at 5 and lasting until just after the show, all cocktail dresses will be $100, and all long dresses will be 50 percent off. (Sale ends at 8.)
Wine and bites will be served.
