Guac and chips, coming soon to SLU.

Cactus, the very popular local chain of Mexican restaurants with locations in Alki Beach, Madison Park, and Kirkland, will open a fourth location in South Lake Union, according to a press release.

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will be part of’s massive new HQ, at the Northwest corner of Terry Ave North and Harrison Streets. That’s the building right next door to the one housing Tom Douglas’s three new restaurants Cuoco (now open), Brave Horse Tavern, and Ting Momo. New Cactus will have a private dining room and mezzanine seating above the bar.

Cactus SLU is set to open late this summer. Good news, Madison Parkers: this Cactus will feature the amazing happy hour that was ripped from your grasp back in ’09. UPDATE: The Madison Park HH is back! See comments!
